Evgeni Plushenko and Yana Rudkovskaya will present the first-ever "Ice Trilogy to the Music of P.I. Tchaikovsky" – three spectacular ice shows during the New Year holidays at the Live Arena in the Moscow region. "Sleeping Beauty" crowns the trilogy: after "The Nutcracker" and before "Swan Lake," audiences will be immersed in the magical world of Charles Perrault's fairy tale. The most decorated athletes of our time will bring the characters of the immortal fairy tale to life on ice. Olympic champion Anna Shcherbakova will appear as the kind Lilac Fairy, and Alena Kostornaya will play the treacherous Fairy Carabosse, who casts a terrible spell of eternal sleep on the little Princess Aurora. Evgeni Plushenko and Evgenia Medvedeva will star as the King and Queen. Alexander Plushenko will play the handsome Prince Désiré, while Elena Kostyleva, the two-time reigning Russian Junior Champion whose multi-rotational jumps have already become a highlight of ice skating shows, will play Princess Aurora.
A massive multimedia ice theater, hundreds of vibrant costumes, live music by Tchaikovsky featuring a ballet company directed by People's Artist of Russia Sergei Filin, and unique circus elements make Evgeni Plushenko's "Sleeping Beauty" a world-class event. Choreographer Nikita Mikhailov and the entire team of the Angels of Plushenko Academy poured their full professionalism into the production to create a true multimedia masterpiece. Makar Ignatov also stars in the show, and fans are eagerly awaiting the appearance of little Arseni Plushenko.
