Description
The Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex, located in Baku, is the largest sports facility in the republic, opened in 1990. The complex offers all the necessary conditions for holding major international competitions and cultural events. Over its history, the complex has become a venue for more than 40 international sports competitions, including European and World Championships in rhythmic gymnastics, boxing and wrestling.
In 2015, a large-scale reconstruction of the complex was completed, during which the façade was updated, and modern lighting and automatic control systems were installed. The complex can accommodate up to 8,000 spectators and includes training halls, conference halls and additional premises.
