Description

The Unipol Forum is a modern multifunctional arena in Assago, located just a few kilometers from Milan. This spacious indoor facility seats approximately 12,800 spectators and hosts a wide range of events, from basketball and hockey matches to tennis tournaments and large-scale concerts. In 2024, the complex received its current name following a partnership agreement with Unipol, which will run until 2027.

The arena's history begins in 1990, when it was built by entrepreneur Giuseppe Cabassi and his son Luca. Over the years, the venue has changed its commercial name several times and has undergone several modernization phases. For decades, it has hosted major international competitions, including world championships in hockey, figure skating, and boxing, as well as stages of prestigious European tournaments. Many high-profile sporting events have taken place here, from the Euroleague to the World Kendo Championship. The Unipol Forum is located within the expansive Milanofiori complex and occupies approximately 40,000 square meters. The interior space is organized on four levels rising around the main arena, and the top floor houses panoramic SkyBox rooms. In 1994, the complex was awarded the European Prize for Sports Facilities Architecture. Today, it is one of the few Italian buildings that is part of the European Arenas Association network. In 2026, the Unipol Forum will host the figure skating and short track speed skating competitions as part of the Winter Olympic Games. The arena already regularly hosts leading concerts, sporting events, and cultural projects. Purchasing tickets for events taking place at this popular venue is available on our website.
