Eteri Tutberidze celebrated her anniversary
Honored Coach of Russia, Master of Sports of the USSR, winner of the International Skating Union award as the best coach, Eteri Georgievna Tutberidze celebrated her anniversary on February 24. Over many years of coaching, Eteri Georgievna has trained many worthy athletes who received prizes and took first places in many Russian and international competitions. Thus, among their ranks are Olympic medalists, winners of the World and European Championships.
She worked with Olympic champions Yulia Lipnitskaya, Alina Zagitova, Evgenia Medvedeva, Anna Shcherbakova, Alexandra Trusova, and European champion Alena Kostornaya. Since the 2015/2016 season, only Tutberidze's students have become winners of the Russian championships in women's single skating.
Eteri Georgievna is not only a coach, but also a choreographer.
In 2019, Tutberidze created a unique show “Champions on Ice”. Its unusualness is that this is the only show in our country in which all athletes present their competitive and demonstration programs, and not theatrical performances. Tutberidze's students, ice dancing and pair skating athletes take part in the performances.
The show “Champions on Ice” takes place not only in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Every spring, after the completion of official competitions, a grand tour of Russian cities begins. You can see the performances of brilliant athletes in Samara, Krasnodar, Vladivostok, Omsk, Kazan, Ufa and other cities.
In 2024, “Champions on Ice” will start in Chelyabinsk on March 30, will travel through 12 cities of the country and end on April 30 in Cheboksary.
