Valieva returned to the ice thanks to Navka - four years of disqualification are behind her
The fans were sad, and numerous debates about whether the girl would be able to participate in at least some ice shows did not subside even for a day. If so, what possibilities of performances exist if the athlete is disqualified? And, of course, many said that the girl simply could not withstand the blow of fate and would end her professional career. The latter really could not be ruled out, because there was a four-year break – an unreasonably long period for big sport.
Fortunately, at the beginning of summer, official sources Navka Show announced that Valieva will now perform at shows of the grandiose production “Ruslan and Lyudmila”. The shows will continue until October 2, so Kamila will have opportunities to prove herself on the ice.
July 22 at Sochi Park it was a full house – Valieva returned to perform in front of an enthusiastic, appreciative audience. Just at the same time, the girl entered the university, so she was unable to appear on the show earlier. The stands of the arena in Sochi rejoiced, welcoming the figure skater, who brilliantly played the role of Lyudmila. She proved herself both as an athlete and as a talented actress. Upon her return, Valieva deliberately avoided difficult elements, deciding to gradually gain confidence on the ice.
Valieva’s partner in this show was the bronze medalist of the World Championships in pair skating Alexander Enbert, with whom the athlete looked excellent. The performances of this couple were staged personally by Tatyana Navka. She became a real fairy godmother for Camila – allowed her to perform again. We can only hope that thanks to the ice shows, the famous figure skater will survive these terribly difficult four years and return to the big sport on ice.
