Kamila Valieva returned to the ice thanks to Tatyana Navka
Valieva is the first single skater in the history of figure skating to score more than ninety points in the short program, almost two hundred points in the free program, and more than two hundred and seventy points in the total score at competitions under the auspices of the International Skating Union. Throughout her career, she has won medals, championships, and championships many times. In January 2024, Valieva was disqualified for four years for doping. After that, coach Eteri Tutberidze removed Valieva from her own ice show, replacing her with Alexandra Trusova. For Valieva, this was a serious blow. Four years is a huge period for an athlete, because the life of a figure skater is short and fleeting.
Afterwards, Vladimir Putin personally expressed his support for the talented athlete, and Navka invited her to take part in her ice show "Ruslan and Lyudmila". This became a real salvation for the athlete, who did not want to give up her career. She kept in shape and is grateful to Tatyana Alexandrovna.
But the fact remains - Kamila lost her Olympic team championship, European championship, and even Russian championship in jumping. The silver and bronze of the Russian championship, earned by the girl in 2022 and 2023, also no longer belong to Valieva. Now she has only three junior titles left - all of the athlete's adult medals were taken away by the CAS decision. The incident that occurred at the Winter Olympics in the capital of China in February 2022 around Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva, suspected of using a metabolic drug, cost our star and our team of figure skaters, who previously held first place, dearly. After the scandal, our team dropped to third; the winner of the tournament was the team of the United States of America.
