Olympic Champion Anna Shcherbakova Will Not Take Part in Ice Age
It is also known that the 2002 Olympic silver medalist Ilya Averbukh sent an offer to participate in the Ice Age show to figure skater Kamila Valieva, but she refused, giving preference to Navka's ice shows. It was Tatyana Aleksandrovna who became the first to invite the figure skater to her ice ballet Ruslan and Lyudmila after her disqualification.
As for Anya Shcherbakova, she sincerely wanted to participate, and everyone hoped until the end that the figure skater had recovered from her injury. However, when the girl returned to regular training, it became clear that the problems with her leg had not gone away, and she needed to solve health issues rather than run around the show. Ilya Averbukh completely agreed with Shcherbakova's refusal - it's better not to take risks. For now, Ilya noted that he is thinking about how to arrange a separate appearance for the skater. After all, the show season will last quite a long time, and Shcherbakova herself would not like to vegetate in oblivion. The life of a figure skater is too short to easily lose a whole year in which she could delight spectators, skating before their eyes in the best ice arenas of the country. Filming of the new season of the Channel One project has already started. This year, the show will be unusual, and will even change its traditional name. Now the project is called "People's Ice Age", since amateur skaters will perform there. This is also a very interesting experience, which the Russian viewer will certainly enjoy watching. Figure skating in our country was, is and will be the most beloved sport. The athletes' performances are always sold out, their names are known and remembered, even when the skaters finish their careers. Shows are a great alternative to official competitions, they have more space for dance and creativity, so the public is in great demand for this format. Especially Ilya Averbukh's show. The brilliant choreographer always creates real magic on the ice, from which it is impossible to take your eyes off! Ice ballets by Tatyana Navka and other Russian figure skating coaches are also very popular.
At the moment, junior competitions are in full swing in Magnitogorsk, which gather full stands of the spacious Metallurg Arena.
