The Channel One Figure Skating Cup among juniors will be held in Kaluga

Each of the teamswill consist of three boys and girls singles, two dance duets and two sports pairs. These squads were formed based on the results of six stages of all-Russian competitions among juniors. There are no official team names, for now it is “Team 1” and "Team 2".

According to the regulations the competitionswill be held on one day. Points for performances will be awarded according to the ISU system. Points for the overall team competition are awarded according to the system of the Olympic team figure skating tournament. The winner will be the team that respectively scores the most points. The order in which athletes enter the ice is determined according to their rating; the skater with the highest rating will close the performances.

The organization of such a tournament among the younger generation is aimed at maintaining and developing the training system, including additional stimulation of athletes, in conditions where there is no opportunity to travel to international competitions. Russian figure skating school – the strongest in the world. And this status must be maintained and developed for future generations.
